The first scientific playground for children was opened in the Children's Park of Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Work on the site began on October 13, and the budget of the unique project for Crimea amounted to 26.2 million rubles. The main guests of the holiday were young Simferopol residents, for whom a bright and cheerful entertainment program was held. The guys have already managed to appreciate the game elements and feel like real musicians, astronauts, meteorologists, farmers and even oceanographers. After all, the goal of the new site is to create an interactive open-air museum, where through play children will be able to develop physically and intellectually, master important skills, and get acquainted with the achievements of Russian science— noted in Main Directorate for the Implementation of National Projects (regional project office).
The scientific site is located on an area of 2 thousand square meters between the Alley of Pioneer Heroes and the sports school. This is a unique, first children’s playground of its kind in Crimea, which will become a new point of attraction for little townspeople and guests of the Crimean capital. The playground is designed for children aged 3 to 12 years and can accommodate more than 200 children.
At interactive complexes, children learn in a playful way about the achievements of domestic science and the work of scientists. There are game objects in 5 thematic areas of science: space, ecology, ocean, music and agronomy. Through the game, children can not only have fun, but also learn important skills and gain new knowledge.
The scientific playground is a completely new format at the intersection of information and physical space, aimed at children and their parents. Here the child will develop physically and intellectually, learning science in a playful way and getting acquainted with the discoveries of Russian scientists. In the interactive outdoor museum, children can learn how electricity works, how the solar system works, how fast sound travels and how to calculate speed.
In addition, the playground includes familiar play elements. To provide children and parents with more inspiring information about the world of scientific exploration and discovery, a QR code system has been installed at the site, and a new modern toilet has been installed in the immediate vicinity of the playground.
