The 1st shift of “Artek” has ended at the International Children’s Center — into the new century.” Almost two thousand schoolchildren from all regions of the country took part in a musical and poetic production dedicated to the power of words, which can change the world around us. The guests of the event were the head of the regional executive committee of the Popular Front in Crimea, Alla Vertinskaya, and a participant in the special military operation.

Together the guys sang the Anthem of the Russian Federation. At the traditional “Meeting before parting”, Artek residents became participants in the musical and poetic production of “The Lay”.

Words can be very different: warm, cold, short, drawn out, loud, quiet… But the most important thing is the power of words, which can change the world around us. This is exactly what the show was dedicated to. Colorful light and sound design, favorite songs, the performance of Artek actors — all this made “Meeting before parting” an unforgettable event for every child.

The guests of the “Meeting before parting” were the head of the regional executive committee of the Popular Front in Crimea, Alla Vertinskaya, and a participant in the special military operation.

It is very nice to be with you today. I am sure that in Artek you recharged your energy and lived a little Artek life. And everyone will take only positive emotions back to their cities. It is important that we have done a lot with you to support the participants in the special military operation. Today there was a wonderful performance dedicated to words. You and I have written many letters and sent the kindest words to our defenders. It is very important— Alla Vertinskaya told the children.

If he talks about words, there are two most important and important words in my life. This is family and homeland. I carry these words with pride and honor throughout my life. I really want you, our children, to also understand how important family and the Motherland are. thank you for support— a member of the Northern Military District addressed the Artek residents.

According to tradition, the main award of the children’s center was presented — the sign of public recognition «Star of Artek». Based on the results of the 1st shift in 2024, for high personal achievements, successful participation in camp programs, respect of peers and the Artek community, the following became “Stars of Artek”: Alan Kaziev, the city of Tver (d/l “Kiparisny”); Ilyas Sulteev, Kazan city (d/l «Lazurny»); Daniel Lifanov, Kazan (d/l “Morskoy”); Andrey Kireev, Yekaterinburg (d/l «Rechnoy»); Polina Belyaeva, Chelyabinsk (d/l «Khrustalny») Muhammadikbol Rakhimov, Penza (d/l «Yantarny»).

The farewell ceremony ended with a touching Artek tradition: the boys gave the girls roses as a sign of friendship. The guys promised their new friends to be worthy of the title of Artek member and to preserve the friendship gained in the Land of Childhood.

During the first shift, Artek residents took part in events dedicated to the Year of the Family. There were squad evenings “The Motherland Begins with Family” and a poetic mosaic “Let’s Honor Family Values.” The children created media projects “Family Traditions”. The guys also took part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad, as well as the Day of Russian Science and the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Among the significant events of the shift: the sports festival “Artek Records Championship”; opening of an exhibition of creative works dedicated to Nadya Rusheva; literary event “Let’s read Pushkin.” The guys visited the hero city of Sevastopol, visited the world-famous palaces of Crimea, and received a lot of knowledge and impressions.
