The first stage of the All-Russian campaign «Children of Russia — 2023» was launched in Sevastopol

As part of the implementation of a complex of operational and preventive measures, an interdepartmental meeting was held at the initiative of the police officers. It was attended by employees of the Department for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, the department for organizing the activities of units for minors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol Marina Peschanskaya, deputy chairman of the commission on minors and the protection of their rights, representatives Department of Public Security, Department of Youth and Sports, Sevastopol City Psychiatric Hospital, public organization «Komsomol of Sevastopol».
In the format of a round table, those present discussed the most pressing issues of preventing delinquency among teenagers, protecting the rights of minors, as well as involving children, including registered ones, in volunteer activities for the purpose of education and prevention. The action is aimed at raising public awareness of the consequences of drug use and the responsibility for participating in their trafficking, as well as the formation of a decent style of behavior, a responsible attitude to one’s own health and the health of others, and the development of civic engagement of the young population— reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.
Police drug control officers noted that, together with representatives of law enforcement agencies, youth and volunteer organizations, they carry out various anti-drug campaigns, information and propaganda activities to form a negative attitude of young people to the consumption of illicit substances.
During the round table, the participants planned joint events as part of the Children of Russia-2023 campaign, assigned city educational organizations to carry out explanatory work, and scheduled joint anti-drug and operational-preventive raids in places of concentration of teenagers and youth. Particular attention was paid to the involvement of sponsored children in the action and their participation in cultural and patriotic events.
