The formation of landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet held a naval tactical exercise

The crews of the large landing ships (BDK) «Yamal», «Caesar Kunikov» and «Orsk» of the Black Sea Fleet took part in the test tactical exercise (ZTU) of the formation of landing ships in sea ranges in the Black Sea.

During the exercise, the crews of the BDK carried out single and group artillery firing at sea, air and coastal targets, and also carried out the installation of training minefields on the routes of possible actions of the mock enemy forces— the press service of the Southern Military District reports.

In addition, the Black Sea sailors worked out practical actions to destroy a floating mine, carried out a set of measures to counter underwater sabotage forces and means with grenade launching and firing from underwater pistols and machine guns, including at a surface target.

The exercise was held in accordance with the plan for combat training of the Black Sea Fleet forces for the summer training period.
