It was established that in May of this year, the then-current general director of Krymenergo ordered changes to be made to the enterprise’s information system that would complicate the process of citizens submitting applications for various services through the institution’s official website. In this way, the manager tried to reduce the negative indicators in terms of failure to fulfill obligations for technological connection to consumers’ power grids, for new incoming applications and, accordingly, to reduce the amount of fines imposed on the enterprise for their untimely consideration. As a result, Krymenergo received more than a hundred requests from citizens and organizations regarding the incorrect operation of the “Personal Account” service from May to October.— reported in Sledkom.
Violations of the law were identified by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Crimea and the prosecutor’s office. We are talking about the ex-director of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Krymenergo” Andrey Tsurkanenko. According to unofficial information, he went abroad.
Let us remind you that previously the Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases opened and is investigating a criminal case against the former director for the sale of services and transmission of electrical energy of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymenergo». He was charged with exceeding official powers, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy out of selfish and other personal interest (clauses “d”, “e”, part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
In total, as part of the investigation of these criminal cases, investigators conducted 60 searches in the premises of electrical networks in all regions of the Republic and at the places of residence of the defendants, and seized documentation on complaints and appeals from citizens.
