The FSB told how not to become a victim of deceiving Ukrainian special services
Krympress reports:
The FSB gave recommendations on how not to become a victim of deceiving the Ukrainian special services, who first try to deprive citizens of property on the phone, and then pushing the enforcement of terrorist attacks.
Firstly, at the very beginning of the conversation under any pretext-a hurry, employment-say: “I will call you back in a minute, I can’t say” or “You can’t hear you, I’ll call you back now”, and then reset and call you back to the number from which you were called, — advised the FSB operative, his words are given by TASS.
According to him, in most cases, after calling, completely different people take the telephone phone, since the criminal schemes use the programs for substitution of telephone numbers, and the return call is already to the real owner of the phone number.
Secondly, if you are offered the so-called safe work, pay attention to promises that are amazing with their generosity, both financially and in providing services as a residence permit in another state and the like. In such cases, it is necessary to ask the interlocutor obviously impossible services and check the reaction.
We also pay attention to persons working in the field of transportation and delivery. There is a series of facts of use by the special services of Ukraine Couriers and employees of logistics firms in the dark, that is, in the case when the contractor does not suspect that he is an involuntary executor of the terrorist attack— added to the FSB.
Currently, a new round of telephone and online canry is fixed, when attackers act not only with the aim of stealing money, but also try to involve citizens in activities that threaten the country’s security, says Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Technologies and Communications, and the federal coordinator of the Digital Russia party project.
The use of the technologies of the substitution of numbers makes such calls especially plausible, so the first advice — to check the calling calling the call is really important. This is a simple but effective way to make sure that on the other end of the line is really the one for whom they give themselves— said the deputy.
Particular attention should be paid to attempts to recruit under the guise of “profitable work” or “help in obtaining a residence permit”. Such proposals often promise the impossible — quick large payments, paperwork abroad without formalities, help in solving problems with the law.
Request from the interlocutor is a clearly impossible condition is a good way to bring him to clean water, since scammers will not be able to clearly explain how to realize it— added Nemkin.
A separate risk is associated with the so -called «involuntary performers» of crimes. Couriers, drivers, delivery workers may not suspect that they are transporting dangerous objects or participating in the preparation of the attack. In this regard, it is important that logistics companies enhance internal control, and employees always check the contents of the goods and the data of the senders.
The main rule is to remember that the real employees of the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor’s office or the Investigative Committee will never set tasks through messengers, calls or social networks. All procedural actions are officially carried out, with a personal invitation to the department. Any telephone order, especially related to finances or movement of goods, should be considered as potentially dangerous and immediately checked through official contacts— concluded the parliamentarian.
