The gambling zone in Crimea will be built on the territory of the Yalta seaport
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The gambling zone in the Republic of Crimea will be built on the territory of the passenger terminal of the sea port in Yalta. Sergey Aksyonov confirmed this information in an interview with VGTRK special correspondent Olga Kurlaeva.
The corresponding changes, which allow the facility to be moved from the village of Katsiveli in the Yalta urban district to the port territory, were previously approved by the Parliament of the Russian Federation.
Sergey Aksyonov clarified that the investor has already begun work.
The process is already underway, and the required documentation is currently being processed.— said the Head of the Republic, adding that the owner who bought the facilities in Katsiveli promises to provide design solutions by September.
At the same time, the Head of Crimea noted that the republic continues to implement other major investment projects that involve the creation of new energy, water and gas supply networks.
Answering a question about the construction and reconstruction of highways, Sergei Aksyonov focused on the Simferopol-Dzhankoy highway.
This year we plan to carry out major repairs of a part of the road located within the city of Dzhankoy, the design documentation is being prepared. The road will meet all modern standards, – the Head of the Republic informed.
In general, as the Head of Crimea reported, the highway has been transferred to federal ownership. Its reconstruction is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor). It is expected that the design of repair work will begin this year.

REFERENCE. According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation on the creation of a gambling zone in Crimea, its construction was planned in the village of Katsiveli on an area of 15 hectares. Current legislation provides for a ban on changing the boundaries of the gambling zone until 10 years have passed since its creation. The Russian Parliament approved a law that allows these boundaries to be changed in July 2024. It will come into force on January 1, 2025.
The Simferopol-Dzhankoy highway starts from the bridge across the Chongar Strait. It has asphalt concrete pavement throughout its entire length and meets the parameters of IB and II technical categories with predominantly two-lane traffic. In June, Rosavtodor reported that specialists should conduct a diagnostics of the route to identify deficiencies in the transport and operational condition. Based on the data obtained, areas for work will be identified and a plan for priority measures for repair and maintenance of the road will be developed.
