The Government of Crimea held a meeting of the Commission for the implementation of pension rights of citizens

The Government of Crimea held a meeting of the Commission for the implementation of pension rights of citizens under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya.

In accordance with the Federal Law regarding the specifics of pension provision for citizens of the Russian Federation living in the territories of the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, a Commission for the implementation of pension rights of citizens has been created under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, which reviews documents evidencing the performance of work in the territory of the Republic of Crimea or on the territory of the federal city of Sevastopol until January 1, 2015, as well as on receiving earnings for periods of work that took place in these territories before January 1, 2002.

In particular, the law provides that if a citizen is unable to confirm periods of work or other activities, the amount of earnings with relevant documents, such periods and amount of earnings can be established based on a decision of the Commission.

The Commission’s activities are aimed at taking into account circumstances that are important for increasing the level of pension provision for citizens.

During the next meeting, 125 applications from citizens were considered (since the beginning of 2016, 10,338 applications were considered).

Following the meeting of the Commission, the Deputy Prime Minister recalled that Crimeans can receive confirmation of work experience in the territory of the Republic of Crimea or in the territory of the federal city of Sevastopol until January 1, 2015 in advance, before the right to receive a pension, by contacting
with an application to the Commission through the territorial body of the social fund at the place of residence.

REFERENCE: An application to establish periods of work and (or) other activities and (or) the amount of a citizen’s earnings is submitted by the citizen in any form to the territorial body of the social fund at the place of residence (stay, actual residence). The following may be submitted to the Commission for consideration: a document containing information from the individual personal account of the insured person in the individual (personalized) accounting system of Ukraine for the period before March 18, 2014; a document confirming payment of tax payments and (or) payment of insurance contributions to the Pension Fund of Ukraine for the period until March 18, 2014, as well as other documents.
