The government of Sevastopol adopted changes to the procedure for providing state social assistance
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At a government meeting chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, a resolution was adopted to change the procedure for providing state social assistance in the form of social benefits. This is necessary to bring the document into compliance with federal legislation, changes to which will come into force on January 1, 2024.
In particular, the approach to defining a low-income family and calculating the average per capita family income is changing. The possibility of submitting an application electronically is also fixed. In this case, there will be no reduction in the amount of benefits.– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Dmitry Shamrey.
If now the total family income is determined based on the subsistence level for various groups of the population, then in the new approach the total income will be determined based on the subsistence level per person, and not separately for children, the elderly or working people, that is, the average will be taken into account income per family member. In addition, previously, if parents, children and other family members lived together in the same family, their income was also taken into account when determining the need for assistance. The new approach will only count members of a specific family, even if they live with other relatives.
Also, thanks to the changes, it will be possible to index additional payments to the estimated amount of state social assistance for each minor child in low-income large families.
