The Government of Sevastopol discussed the implementation of the school overhaul program in 2023

At a staff meeting chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev and. O. Director of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos reported on the plans for the implementation of the program «Modernization of school education systems in the city of Sevastopol» in 2023.

This year, we are completing comprehensive repairs at school No. 12 and boarding school No. 6. In April, we plan to start major repairs in two schools — at gymnasium No. 2 and school No. 60. It is planned to complete the work in November 2023. These two schools are affected by a change in curriculum. For the fourth quarter of this academic year and the first, second quarters of the next, grades 1, 4, 9 and 11 of school No. 60 will be taught in the building of school No. 4, and grades 5-8 in school No. 22— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Maxim Krivonos.

He also noted that during the repair work, students in grades 1-4 of gymnasium No. 2 will continue their education in the old school building.

In March, contractors began repair work in three schools — No. 9, 28, 36. At school No. 28, a comprehensive repair of the workshop building and shooting range will be completed — the weapons room and the shooting hall will be repaired there. It was planned to complete the work in November 2023, but it is highly likely that the facility will be put into operation by September 1, emphasizes i. O. At school No. 36 in the village of Khmelnytsky, classrooms, a sports hall, a school museum, a medical unit, a canteen and a center for children’s initiatives will be completely renovated. The school building was recognized as emergency, after the completion of the repair, the educational institution will be able to work again.

Design projects of educational institutions are discussed and approved by contractors with the parents of schoolchildren and the leadership of educational organizations.

Mikhail Razvozhaev instructed to demonstrate already agreed design projects for future buildings of educational organizations at the next executive meeting of the Government.

As part of the modernization of school education systems in 2023, the purchase of furniture is also envisaged. We made a purchase from a factory that operates in Sevastopol. We gained experience in operating furniture — tables for teachers, desks, chairs, storage systems — were satisfied with the quality and, taking into account the suggestions of the designers, we will continue to interact in the future— says Maxim Krivonos.

He clarified that the purchase of furniture for educational institutions takes place at the Sevastopol factory «Compass».

I believe that we need to support our Sevastopol manufacturer, which made furniture for schools. Moreover, he is ready to cooperate and refine some points. This is a good experience and to save jobs — the order is good, comprehensive— says the governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

In addition, there are a number of areas in the implementation of the program — this is additional advanced training for teachers and school teams, the acquisition of educational, technological equipment, the provision of educational literature in accordance with the areas of activity and in strict accordance with the federal list of textbooks.

The head of the region instructed that it is mandatory to convey all the necessary information to the parents of students so that the processes associated with the repair of schools are understandable to all participants.

Recall that the school overhaul program is being implemented on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is designed for five years and is enshrined in the people’s program of the United Russia party. In Sevastopol, it is planned to complete work in 71 buildings in 40 schools over five years.
