The Government of Sevastopol has developed two bus routes for guests of «New Khersones»

On July 30, the museum and temple complex «New Chersonesos» will open for visitors — details here. In order to ensure transport accessibility of the unique cultural center, the reconstruction of Drevnyaya Street was planned. For the convenience of visitors, the Government of Sevastopol has developed two new bus routes:

  • Bus No. 73 «Central City Ring — Khersones» will operate from 7:00 to 21:00.
  • Bus #74 «Park Pobedy — Khersones» will run from 8:00 to 21:00. In Park Pobedy it will depart from the new bus stop.

Bus #22 «5th km of Balaklava highway — Khersones» will also continue to operate. In summer, it operates from 7:00 to 22:20.

During the first days of the New Chersonesus, a large number of guests are expected and, as a result, many cars in the parking lots. In order not to waste time and energy looking for a parking space, car owners can use the parking lot in Victory Park: you can leave your car there and get to the museum and temple complex by bus.

The reconstruction of Drevnyaya Street is also currently being completed. After the work is completed, the traffic management scheme will change. The innovations will affect Eroshenko, Dmitry Ulyanov and Drevnyaya Streets.

Eroshenko Street: from the intersection with 50th Anniversary of the USSR Square to house No. 8 on Eroshenko Street, two-way traffic will be introduced. From house No. 8 to the intersection with Dmitry Ulyanov and Drevnyaya Streets, one-way traffic will be introduced.

Dmitry Ulyanov Street: from the intersection with Eroshenko and Drevnyaya Streets (Friendship of Peoples Memorial) to the regulated intersection of Gagarin Avenue, Pozharova Street and Dmitry Ulyanov Street, one-way traffic will be introduced.

Drevnyaya Street: from the intersections with Eroshenko and Dmitry Ulyanov streets, there will be two-way traffic. From the turnaround circle to the Chersonesos Taurica Museum-Reserve, there will be a pedestrian zone.

The museum and park complex «New Chersonesos» was built on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin and with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. The area of ​​24 hectares includes the Museum of Christianity, the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, the Museum of Crimea and Novorossiya, an open-air temple-park, the amphitheater «Griffin Arena», and a reconstructed quarter of Chersonesos from the time of Prince Vladimir.
