The governor of Sevastopol insists: entry to shelters should be free for everyone if necessary.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, at a government meeting instructed the relevant services to deal with all issues related to the safety of public transport passengers during an air raid within a week.
An analysis of messages that people write on social networks suggests that in Sevastopol there are still unresolved issues regarding the operation of public transport during an air raid— the press service quotes the head of the city.
Director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Stanislav Tamataev said that in the near future posters will be placed at bus stops indicating the shelters closest to the place where passengers disembark. Mikhail Razvozhaev, in turn, noted that it is necessary not only to hang posters, but also to ensure that all shelters are open.
It is not enough to simply place posters — responsible people need to go to the addresses indicated on these notices with their own feet and make sure that the shelter at the specified address is open and that there is access to it. In addition, public transport drivers need to be instructed to help people during an air raid and to inform them. And, of course, it is unacceptable to drop people off outside stops — there have also been such complaints,” the governor emphasizes.
He instructed the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure, together with the Department of Public Safety, to draw up a clear algorithm for drivers’ actions in the event of an alarm and communicate it to the performers.
Mikhail Razvozhaev also recalled that when a siren sounds in the city, unhindered access to shelters should be provided for everyone nearby.
There are spotty reports that shelters belonging to private homeowners associations are closed — people who try to enter from the street are not allowed in. People also wrote on social networks that during one of the last air raids there was no access to the Underground Sevastopol Museum. If this happens again, this room will have to be used for its intended purpose until the end of the events, and there will be no museum there. It’s a pity, of course — this is a good enterprise. But now everyone needs to work according to the demands of the timesconcluded Mikhail Razvozhaev.
