The Governor of Sevastopol instructed employees of the Department of Transport to personally check the operation of the route network
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The “hot” topic in Sevastopol at the beginning of January was “transport reform”, changing the route network. Despite the optimism of the authorities, there are still more complaints than thanks (more on this topic — HERE). It is no coincidence that Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, at a meeting of the city government on January 11, instructed employees of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development to personally check how the new transport network works.
An analysis of requests showed that the most problems are with routes 17 and 94. On route 17, the main complaint is that there is no free alternative, you have to pay for transfers. The answers that employees write to people on social networks are also worthy of “admiration.” For example, a person complains that the buses are full during rush hour, and they answer him: “There are four buses running.” Did this answer make the person feel better? There is no need to prove to people that “the hat fits well on the head” if it doesn’t fitsaid Mikhail Razvozhaev.
He noted that the new transport scheme made it possible to introduce a single city tariff throughout the city, including on suburban routes: travel on the Unified State Transport System costs 24 rubles, without it – 30 rubles. This allows people who live and work in the suburbs to significantly reduce costs. But even these positive changes were offset due to the incorrect organization of the work of two or three routes, the governor emphasized.
Today and tomorrow, employees of the Department of Transport, led by Director Stanislav Tamataev, must go to the places during rush hour, drive along all the routes where there were changes, and send me video reports. We agreed on the main principle: if we split routes or remove duplicate routes, then there should always be a convenient alternative for people, and passengers definitely should not overpay for travelconcluded Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Let us remind you that the new route network was presented in December and began operating on January 1. The solutions were aimed at avoiding duplicate routes, reducing the load on the road network and creating conditions under which the carrying capacity of public transport would increase.
