CrimeaPRESS reports:
The governor of the city of Sevastopol participates in an extended meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the development of the labor market. On September 20, a seminar-meeting was held in Veliky Novgorod, at which issues of training workers in blue-collar professions and specialists for small and medium-sized businesses, advanced training and retraining of workers, and stimulation of economic activity of the population were discussed. The seminar was attended by members of the Presidium of the State Council, members of the Government of the Russian Federation, regional governors, representatives of the business community, heads of scientific and educational organizations.
Mikhail Razvozhaev is the Chairman of the State Council Commission on Education. The working group under his leadership developed decisions on the training of blue-collar workers. The main proposals formulated during the seminar will be presented today at an expanded meeting of the State Council chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The head of Sevastopol noted that the most important task of the State Council is the balance of labor resources in the country.
There are regions with a surplus of labor, and there are regions with a labor shortage, where graduates of educational institutions cannot apply themselves in the profession. And the big task of the state administration is to ensure that everyone who graduates from secondary vocational education today clearly understands that they may have to come to another region to get a good, well-paid job,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.
He added that the “Professionality” program is now operating in the regions of Russia, based on the interaction of educational institutions and employers.
The Ministry of Education, together with the regions, launched the “Professionalism” program. Employers invest in the infrastructure of colleges and technical schools and train their personnel, and regional authorities give them tax breaks. In Sevastopol, we are systematically working on this issue: a career guidance program has been launched, with an emphasis on training specialists within the framework of secondary vocational educationsays the mayor of the city.
There are more than 570 enterprises in Sevastopol, the largest number are involved in the mechanical engineering industry, including instrument making, shipbuilding and ship repair, and production of building materials.
