The Governor of Sevastopol presented the keys to new apartments to orphans

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A house with 36 apartments was built on Shevkoplyasa Street by order of the Unified Directorate of Capital Construction by the Alfa Group Contracting company. On September 1 it was put into operation. On October 4, 25 people received their apartments, another 11 residents will be given keys in the near future. The area of each renovated and comfortable apartment is at least 33 square meters. Near the house there is a parking lot, a playground, a recreation area, and the contractor has landscaped the area. The work was carried out, according to the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, within the framework of the state program “Housing”.

The issue of providing housing for orphans was quite serious in Sevastopol, and until 2019 it was possible to purchase only a few apartments a year: when purchasing through an auction, it was extremely difficult to find housing with the required parameters and a suitable price category. Therefore, in order to achieve results, in 2020 we began to modernize the Housing program and received new tools: for example, housing repairs from the city fund. At the initiative of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office, the allocation of housing certificates was implemented at the legislative level. Last year, we introduced another tool — escrow accounts, when the government acts as a shareholder during construction: thanks to this, we handed over 50 apartments to orphans. This year, perhaps the most important mechanism for us appeared — the independent construction of houses intended for socially vulnerable categories of citizens— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the city.

From 2019 to 2022, 129 orphans were provided with apartments in Sevastopol, of which 72 received apartments in 2022, after the government introduced the practice of co-financing housing construction.

Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized that in 2023 it is planned to provide apartments for 86 people. 463.7 million rubles have been allocated for the implementation of this project — 69 million from the federal budget and 394.7 million from the city budget.

The prosecutor of the city of Sevastopol, Maxim Zhuk, noted that the joint work of the government and law enforcement agencies brought significant results for the city.

For the first time in the last two years, a truly unprecedented number of orphans for Sevastopol received their own housing. There is no doubt that the pace that was gained in 2022 will now only increasesays Maxim Zhuk.

The head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, emphasized that thanks to coordinated actions, more and more people in Sevastopol are receiving long-awaited apartments.

Today, on our peninsula, a program to provide housing to vulnerable segments of the population is being actively promoted and implemented. And in Sevastopol we have an example of teamwork, when through joint efforts we achieved such a positive resultnotes Vladimir Terentyev.

The implementation of the housing program continues: the Government of Sevastopol is considering the possibility of building a new house on Chernorechenskaya Street and purchasing apartments in a residential complex under construction in Cossack Bay.
