The governor of Sevastopol presented the main achievements of the city at the exhibition-forum “Russia”

January 8 became Sevastopol Day at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”, which is currently taking place at VDNKh in Moscow. An extensive cultural, educational and business program began with the ceremony of raising the flag of Sevastopol at the city stand and the performance of the anthem of the Hero City.

The event was attended by: Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Vladimir Nemtsev, Senator Ekaterina Altabaeva, State Duma deputies Tatyana Lobach and Dmitry Belik, head of the Executive Committee of the regional headquarters of the Popular Front movement Larisa Melnik, deputy governors, deputies of the Legislative Assembly. The guests of honor were the artistic director of the Oleg Tabakov Theater, People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Mashkov and the founder and leader of the biker club «Night Wolves» Alexander Zaldastanov, 75 Sevastopol schoolchildren — those who had the opportunity to come to the exhibition «Russia» for achievements in studies, sports and social life.

10 years ago Sevastopol returned to its native harbor. Thanks to the President and Government of Russia, our city receives great support and continues to develop. On behalf of the President, a grandiose architectural and infrastructure project is being implemented, which has no analogues in Russia — a cultural cluster at Cape Khrustalny, which includes the Academy of Choreography under the leadership of Sergei Polunin, the Opera and Ballet Theater, and a museum complex. Also, on the initiative of the president, a unique historical and archaeological park “Tavrichesky Chersonese” is being built, near ancient Chersonese. Currently, construction is underway on museums of Antiquity and Byzantium, Christianity, Crimea, an international archaeological complex, tourist and pilgrimage centers, quarters with the reconstruction of the ancient appearance of Chersonesos. In record time, in 363 days, a children’s art school was built, in which almost 1000 talented children are already studying, and a branch of Artek — the Korsun children’s center,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

He noted that since reunification with Russia, more than 120 facilities have been built in Sevastopol: including kindergartens, schools, and sports complexes. Let us remind you that at the end of December, the Galina Prozumenshchikova Aquatics Palace and the Fidget Center opened in Sevastopol.

Also, the head of the city emphasized, investment projects are being implemented in the city, including the IT-Crimea technology park, which is called the Russian “Silicon Valley”, the yacht marina in Balaklava, the world-class scientific and educational center “MoreAgroBioTech” and the “Terroir Sevastopol” project. , which brought together more than 40 winemakers from the region.

Mikhail Razvozhaev also gave a tour of the Sevastopol stand for exhibition guests.

During the day, Sevastopol residents will hold many master classes, lectures, and performances for guests of the Russia exhibition-forum. As part of the business program, there will be a round table dedicated to winemaking and wine tourism, a session “Foreign economic activity using digital assets” and a panel discussion “Women’s entrepreneurship: trends, problems and prospects”. Creative groups will give concerts “Born under the St. Andrew’s Flag” and “Sevastopol — the City of Heroes”. The highlight of Sevastopol Day will be the “Navy Wedding”.
