The Great Russian Word festival started in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in the opening ceremony of the XVII International Festival “Great Russian Word”, which took place in the State Council of the Republic of Crimea. Opening the solemn event, Senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergei Tsekov read out a greeting from the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, and also congratulated those present on his own behalf.
In his address, Sergei Aksenov noted that the festival has always taken place in difficult times.
Over the course of all these years, a hybrid war has been waged against Russia in all directions. Nobody hides the fact that today there is an attack on Russian civilization. But we cannot just watch how people abroad are trying to incite hatred towards us. I am confident that the Great Russian Word festival will be the humanitarian instrument that will help us overcome these challenges. It will be the platform where proposals for the formation of an effective foreign policy aimed at protecting our national interests will be voiced– the press service quotes the Head of Crimea.
According to the Head of the Republic, it is now important to learn how to consolidate people around the interests of the state.
This includes those who left the country and live abroad. We must not allow our compatriots to lose their spiritual connection with Russia. All the same, for foreigners we are all Russians, Russians, regardless of nationality and religion. And this is good, because we are monolithic within the country, we maintain respect for the traditions and customs of all our peoples. The world must understand that it is impossible to put pressure on a Russian person just because he is Russian. Behind every compatriot is our entire country, our citizens.– emphasizes the Head of Crimea.
Sergei Aksyonov urged people not to be shy about defending their identity and fighting for spiritual and humanitarian space. “As President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin rightly said, this is not a question of superiority over someone, but a question of protecting the Russian world. We restore justice, protect our borders, history and traditions, language and culture,” explained the Head of the Republic.
Separately, the Head of Crimea expressed gratitude to the residents of the historical regions of Russia.
You are true heroes, we admire your courage. You are the type of person who does not deviate from your point of view, does not give up your identity, and continues to move forward, despite any difficulties. We cannot lose in our common struggle — and we will not lose,” the Head of the Republic emphasized.
In conclusion, Sergei Aksyonov recalled the importance of continuing to support the President and his decisions, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, residents of historical regions — all this guarantees that the state will achieve all its goals.
Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Kirill Stepanov and Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov also delivered welcoming remarks.
The event was attended by representatives of the legislative authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye, Ryazan and Kherson regions, the hero city of Sevastopol, heads of local governments, and others.
