The group of Majlis supporters remaining in Crimea has no influence — Sergey Tsekov
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A small group of supporters of the extremist organization “Majlis of the Crimean Tatar People” banned in the Russian Federation remained in the Republic of Crimea, but it has no influence in the region, he said in an interview with TASS Senator from the Republic Sergei Tsekov.
There really are some supporters of the organization, and they really do [наступления Украины на Крым] waiting, but not waiting. This part is very small and insignificant, which is hidden deeply. We know this and monitor when they are preparing their terrorist attacks. They have no real influence on the situation in Crimea— said Tsekov.
The senator noted that the leaders of the Majlis (an organization recognized as extremist by a court decision) are making public statements about the alleged formation of an “underground” in Crimea to imitate activities and receive funding from Ukraine.
