Harvesting of the most popular white grape variety, Chardonnay, has begun at the vineyards of Solnechnaya Dolina JSC.

This year the company plans to harvest about 1010 tons of grapes of all varieties. Variety «Chardonnay», in the future will be used in the production of sparkling wine. In 2014 year JSC Solnechnaya Dolina started producing a new brand of champagne Blanc de Blancs with aging in the bottle 12 months. Today, the company also cultivates such technical varieties as white kokur, white muscat, rkatsiteli, cabernet sauvignon, carignan, marselan, merlot, petit verdot, ekim cara and others, — quotes the press service of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Alima Zaredinova.

Alime Zaredinova also added that since 2014 the year JSC «Solnechnaya Dolina» has been participating in the state program for the development of agriculture of the Republic of Crimea for the laying and care of vineyards, the construction of a trellis, for financial support of costs in 2021 year, for the purchase of planting material of domestic production for laying the vineyard.

In December of this year, more than hectares of new plantations of such varieties as Riesling, White Kokur were planted in the vineyards of the enterprise ”, “chardonnay”, “kefesia” and “saperavi”. Crimean viticulture enterprises annually plant about 130 hectares of vineyards, this year about 580 hectares have already been planted and before the end of the year, plans to land more, commented the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.

The winery was established over 130 years ago. Currently, «Solnechnaya Dolina» has over 400 hectares of vineyards in the southeast of Crimea, planting new vineyards, producing dry, semi-sweet and liqueur wines. The production capacity of the plant in terms of grape processing is 5 thousand tons. One-time storage capacities — 2663 thousand decalitres.

Recall that last year JSC «Solnechnaya Dolina» (Sudak region of Crimea), which specializes in the production of still wines, received a license from Rosalkogolregulirovanie for the production of classic champagne.

Reference: For the period from 2014 to 2021 the enterprises of the Crimean viticulture industry received state support in the amount of more than 3.2 billion rubles.
