CrimeaPRESS reports:

The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, together with the general director of the public law company “Russian Ecological Operator” Denis Butsaev, inspected the progress of construction of an eco-technopark in the Belogorsky district. The construction of a modern facility that will be able to process and dispose of up to 500 thousand tons of municipal solid waste per year is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Ecology”. To avoid the risk of delays in construction and installation work schedule, Sergei Aksyonov recommended that the contractor increase the number of workers and equipment at the site.

It is necessary to strictly adhere to the established schedule in order to put the eco-technopark into operation on time. The project is given maximum attention at all levels, from federal to regional, and the necessary assistance is provided. It is important not to create bureaucratic barriers that hinder the pace of work. The authorities of the republic will provide full assistance to quickly resolve any issues that arise. The main thing is that the contractor maintains constant contact with us and reports any problems immediatelysaid the Head of Crimea.

During the working meeting, Sergey Aksyonov and Denis Butsaev discussed the details of the project, emphasizing the importance of completing all work on time. In addition, the issues of construction on the territory of the republic and other enterprises for the management of solid waste, including in the Saki region, were studied.

As Denis Butsaev reported, the construction of two eco-technoparks is planned to be completed in the third quarter and put into operation by the end of autumn of this year.

Facilities in the Belogorsky and Saki districts will process 700 thousand tons of waste annually, and more than 500 jobs will be created. And with the commissioning of a facility in the Leninsky district in 2025, the Republic of Crimea will fulfill the goals of the national project “Ecology” in terms of ensuring 100% processing and reducing the disposal of MSW to less than 50%, five years ahead of the deadline established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation,” explained the general director of REO.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk also took part in the events.

Let us remind you that the Russian Ecological Operator PPC was created by decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2019 with the aim of creating a comprehensive system for managing municipal solid waste in the country. According to the national project “Ecology”, this system will reduce the volume of waste disposal and thereby reduce the environmental burden on the population. The goal by 2030 is to sort 100% of the volume of MSW and reduce by 50% the MSW that goes to landfills.
