Parents should help monitor compliance with food standards in school canteens.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, held a meeting on problematic issues of municipalities. The progress of work at sites where there is a delay in the completion of work was discussed; he pointed out that all delays from schedules are subjective in nature, and recalled that those who postpone the completion of work until the end of the year are at risk.
On Monday, deputy chairmen of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea begin to inspect facilities where there is a risk that work will not be completed before the end of this year. It is already clear which municipalities and ministries are behind schedule and may miss their deadlines. If there is no positive dynamics at the facilities within a week, we will make personnel decisions without waiting for the end of the year,” the Head of the Republic of Crimea emphasized.
The issues of catering in educational institutions of the Republic were also discussed.

A separate problem in a number of municipalities is compliance with nutritional standards for foods required for children’s diets, such as meat, fish, vegetables and fruits, and dairy products. According to Natalya Penkovskaya, not only the authorities, but also parents should be involved in monitoring the organization of food in schools — they can be involved in checking the quality of hot meals and the balance of the menu.
Sergei Aksyonov instructed the heads of administrations and heads of educational authorities to organize systematic control measures in relation to school canteens.
Responsible government officials must be in schools and understand what is happening on the ground. Together with parent committees, it is necessary to monitor compliance with all relevant standards and the balance of menus in school canteens. Problems with providing schools with food are unacceptable, especially in rural areas— emphasized the Head of the Republic.
