The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in the solemn ceremony of launching the high-speed sea passenger hydrofoil ship «Kometa 120M», called «Kerch». The event took place at the More shipyard in the village of Primorsky, Feodosia urban district.
Opening the event, Sergey Aksenov congratulated the management and staff of the plant on this event:
A feeling of pride for the Crimean shipbuilders and everyone who participated in the construction of this passenger ship. The plant’s workforce successfully and professionally carries out its assigned tasks, not only civilian, but also military. Without a doubt, the company has a glorious future, and the fleet it produces will serve for the benefit of Crimea and Russia. For my part, I can assure you that I will do everything possible to ensure that the enterprise develops and such orders are put on stream. I plan to appeal to President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin for assistance in ensuring additional utilization of the enterprise and increasing production volumes. I am sure that the Leader will support us.

JSC Shipbuilding Plant More is one of the oldest shipbuilding enterprises in Crimea. Today the company produces ships and ships, boats and boats. In 2022, the plant became part of the largest shipbuilding company in Russia — United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC.
The high-speed sea hydrofoil «Kometa 120M» is designed to transport passengers during daylight hours in cabins equipped with aircraft-type seats. The vessel was named “Kerch” and is the last in a series of five units. On July 30, 2018, regular traffic of high-speed passenger hydrofoil ships “Kometa 120M” was opened between Sevastopol and Yalta.
