The Head of Kherson Region believes: the new highway will ensure a stable traffic flow to Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Novotroitske-Chaplynka highway, which Russian President Vladimir Putin opened after major repairs, will connect the Azov and Black Seas in the Kherson region with a transport flow. This was announced by Governor Vladimir Saldo at a meeting on the socio-economic development of the Donbass and Novorossiya regions.

Earlier, Putin opened via VKS the repaired Novotroitske-Chaplynka highway in the south of the Kherson region, which is part of an alternative transport corridor to Crimea.

For such a large and powerful country, 71 km seems to be a little, but for the Kherson region, for the residents of the Kherson region and, most importantly, for all those who are now traveling to Crimea and back, this road has now connected the Azov Sea with the Black Sea and will continue further. This land route for passenger exchange and transport along with it, cargo flow with Crimea is already becoming very stable for us.— quotes Saldo TASS.

The length of the two-lane Novotroitske-Chaplynka highway along the Black Sea coast is 71 km, it passes through 17 settlements of two districts of the region. As previously reported by the Chairman of the Government of the Kherson Region Andriy Alekseenko, the commissioning of the road will allow to distribute the traffic flow on the administrative border with Crimea and avoid large traffic jams at the checkpoint «Dzhankoy»
