The head of the Crimea predicts that in a day it will be possible to eliminate the queue of cars at the Kerch ferry crossing

More than 700 cars are waiting to cross the Kerch Strait from the side of the peninsula, the queue of cars is planned to be eliminated within 24 hours. This was announced by the Head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.

321 cars, 255 trucks are in Kerch and 129 trucks are in the port. We expect to completely resolve the situation within a day and eliminate the queueAksyonov said.

He noted that more than 255 trucks and 20 civilian buses were transported on Monday.

Despite the fact that on average per day — in the morning, of course, there was a delay with the start of the crossing — we transport 450 cars— Aksyonov specified.

According to him, seven ferries operate at the Kerch crossing.

We have a total of seven ferries in operation: three civil ferries, two BDKs and two railway ferries. It is clear that the weather periodically makes adjustments, but now the wind, thank God, allows— said the Head of the Crimea.

There are about 750 cars in the «queue» from the Krasnodar Territory.
