The head of the Crimean parliament rejoices at the heavy rainfall — the reservoirs were filled in two days
CrimeaPRESS reports:
As a result of heavy rainfall in Crimea over the past weekend, our reservoirs have been significantly replenished. Such an optimistic statement did Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov.
According to his information, in some cases, such as in Simferopol, water has to be released in order to avoid negative consequences associated with overflowing reservoirs. In addition, experts are studying the need for water discharge from the Izobilnenskoye and Belogorskoye reservoirs.
In the Schastlivensky, Zagorsky, Starokrymsky, Partizansky, Simferopol, and Ayansky reservoirs, the filling level is higher compared to 2022. The Izobilnenskoye Reservoir is almost 100 percent full.
After the rains, the total increase in water in our reservoirs amounted to almost 15 million cubic meters. The total volume of water resources in the Republic today is about 140 million cubic meters,” emphasized Vladimir Konstantinov.
According to the head of the Crimean parliament, this reserve will be enough for about 1.5 years, even if there is a complete absence of influx.
