The head of the Expert Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia visited the Republic of Crimea on a working trip

The head of the Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Police Lieutenant General Vadim Kazmin, paid a working visit to the Republic of Crimea. During the trip, he visited the Forensic Expertise Center of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, got acquainted with the technical equipment of the service, and the working conditions of police officers.
At a meeting held with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea — Chief of Police, Police Major General Alexey Dmitriev, Police Lieutenant General Vadim Kazmin noted that crime is changing, dynamically transforming, and today almost no crime investigation is complete without expert support . Highly appreciating the level of training of employees of the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, the head of the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia noted that the experience of Crimean experts in a number of areas of activity deserves special attention and is already being used by colleagues from other constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The head of the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia summed up the work of the Forensic Expert Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea this year, outlined priority areas of activity for the next year, and set tasks aimed at increasing the efficiency of forensic work. The existing technical potential allows Crimean experts to conduct a wide range of studies, including DNA analysis, physico-chemical, fingerprint and ballistic examinations. Since this year, the division has been producing 5 new areas of examination, including botanical and commodity sciencenoted the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The Crimean Expert Center has been designated as the basic body for the expert divisions of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions in terms of providing advisory and methodological assistance, training and education of specialists.
The head of the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia thanked the personnel for their professionalism and presented departmental awards to distinguished employees.
