The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to report on the collected evidence base on the fact of an accident in the Republic of Crimea, as well as on the arguments voiced on federal television. It’s about the situation around fatal accident with the participation of a Crimean social activist.

On federal television, the situation of an accident involving a member of the Public Chamber of Crimea, which resulted in the death of a resident of the region, was discussed. It is reported that the person involved in the case was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest by a court decision, which he regularly violates, and the criminal-executive inspection bodies do not exercise proper control. The studio also questions his disability, which was assigned to him after an accident. In connection with the opinions voiced, one of the discussion participants appeals to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia with a request to verify the arguments voiced during the broadcast— reported in Sledkom.

Based on the fact of the accident, the investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol investigated a criminal case under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which is currently being considered in court.
