The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation ordered to verify the death of a newborn in Crimea

The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to report on the results of the investigation into the death of a newborn in the Republic of Crimea.
To the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.I. A resident of the Republic of Crimea contacted Bastrykin at his VKontakte reception regarding the issue of poor-quality medical care for her daughter in the perinatal center. Last November, she gave birth to a baby girl, who underwent emergency surgery, but the newborn died ten days later. The applicant suggests that the cause of the tragedy was the failure to identify the pathology, despite the presence of the necessary high-precision equipment in the department.
The Main Investigative Directorate of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol conducted a procedural investigation into this fact, and based on its results, the initiation of a criminal case was refused— reported the central office of the Investigative Committee.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Main Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, to submit a report on the results of the procedural check and the grounds for the decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case.
