The heat in Crimea is not abating. The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns of extreme fire danger on the peninsula
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On July 20-23, extreme fire danger will remain in Crimea (and in Sevastopol as well). The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a storm warning:
According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, extreme fire danger will remain in Crimea and the city of Sevastopol from July 20 to 23.
Let us recall that a special fire safety regime has been in place across the entire peninsula since April 17. During this period, it is strictly prohibited to make fires or carry out fire-hazardous work using open fire in forests, natural ecosystems and adjacent areas, including the intentional burning of dry vegetation and household waste. The use of open fire and making fires on agricultural lands and inhabited areas is permitted only in strict compliance with fire safety requirements.
BY THE WAY! Another weather and temperature record was broken yesterday in Simferopol. As reported by the head of the Crimean Hydrometeorological Center Tatyana Lyubetskaya, on July 18 in Simferopol the air warmed up to +39.1 C, which is 2.8 degrees higher than in 2001. Conclusion: such heat in Crimea — once in a quarter of a century.
