The heating season in Crimea starts with almost one hundred percent readiness of housing and communal services
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At a meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, as part of the “Government Hour”, deputies heard a report by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic, Zakhar Shcheglenko, and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Housing, Communal Services and Roads, Oksana Satsik, on the readiness of facilities and life support services in Crimea for operation in the autumn-winter period 2024–2025.
In particular, it was noted that as of the current date, the overall readiness of housing and communal services and educational institutions of the Republic of Crimea is 99.9%. Healthcare facilities are 100% ready.
During the heating period, measures are being taken to carry out repairs and modernize heat supply facilities of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Krymteplokommunenergo”. Measures are being implemented to convert six fuel oil boiler houses to natural gas (three in Kerch and three in the Simferopol region) and reconstruct one central heating point in Kerch with the installation of a block-modular boiler house.
As Zakhar Shcheglenko reported, interdepartmental commissions were formed in municipalities to check the readiness of organizations for the upcoming heating season. Weekly monitoring of the progress of work has been organized, coordinated by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the minister, one of the key areas of preparation for the heating season is the creation of the necessary reserves of fuel; contracts for its supply have already been concluded by municipalities of the Republic of Crimea. The bulk of the fuel will be delivered before the start of the heating season, which will guarantee heat supply; later fuel will be supplied upon requests from administrations.
Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov emphasized the importance of the issue related to the beginning of the heating season, noting that monitoring of past periods demonstrates cases of providing unreliable information regarding compliance with the temperature regime in educational institutions. This, in turn, necessitates more careful control during the mobilization of the entire system of power and the deputy corps.
He noted that committees should not only monitor the situation remotely, but also conduct direct checks to ensure the real state of affairs.
Vladimir Konstantinov also highlighted the importance of prompt response to citizens’ requests, especially on social networks.
According to Oksana Satsik, the issue of providing heat to Crimean homes and social facilities is paramount today. The relevant committee is in constant interaction with the leadership of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea, resource supply organizations and social institutions, which allows for a prompt and coordinated response to emerging problematic issues.
An important aspect of the deputy’s work is also informing citizens about precautionary measures and the readiness of life support services, as well as about the procedure for action in emergency situationsnoted the deputy.
All measures to prepare for the heating season, according to Oksana Satsik, were carried out on time, Crimea is fully provided with the necessary amount of fuel for boiler houses, purchases are carried out in accordance with established schedules, there is no risk of missed deadlines.
Currently, heating for the entire social sphere of the region has already been launched. The decision to start the heating season is made by the heads of administration of the relevant municipalities. Traditionally, the heating season begins with the launch of social facilities, then the supply of coolant to the housing stock will begin.
To quickly respond to residents’ requests, Krymteplokommunenergo has created a 24-hour emergency hotline by phone: 8 (800) 506-00-22.
