The heating season in Sevastopol will end on April 15
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At a meeting of the Government of Sevastopol chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev today, a resolution was adopted to end the heating season of 2023-2024.
This year the spring is very warm, requests from Sevastopol residents asking to turn off the heating are now being received more and more often. Therefore, we end the heating season a little earlier than usual — on April 15. Last year it ended on April 21— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the city.
According to current Russian legislation, the heating season ends if the average daily outside air temperature exceeds 8 degrees Celsius within five days. According to monitoring data from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, now the average daily temperature in Sevastopol is 13 degrees, the average night temperature is 8 degrees.
According to the Department of Municipal Economy, if weather forecasters report a sharp cold snap — a drop in the average daily temperature below 8 degrees Celsius — the city will provide heating for schools, kindergartens and medical institutions.
After the end of the current heating season, preparations for the 2024-2025 season will begin.
