The Hero's Desk was opened at the Sevastopol gymnasium
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Hero’s desk in memory of junior sergeant Valeria Stadnichenko, who gave his life for the Motherland during a special military operation, was opened in Sevastopol gymnasium No. 8. His relatives, colleagues, the first teacher, the director, teachers and students of the school came to honor the memory of the Hero. Valery Stadnichenko served in an air assault company, fought for the liberation of the Ilyich plant in Mariupol, and participated in the construction of defensive structures in the Kherson region. He died in the Krynok area while evacuating his comrades. He was awarded medals and posthumously the Order of Courage.
Kind, open, courageous and always ready to help — this is how he will forever remain in the memory of his loved ones.
Our son always spoke very simple words, and these words penetrated our souls. He talked about why we need to get up and go into battle against this evil. Because if we don’t stop it there, it will come to our homes, to our city. Valera loved his city very much, a white-stone city by the sea, adored the sea and considered Sevastopol his small homeland. He was born here and was always proud of it. He was wounded twice and returned immediately as soon as his health allowed him. He said: “My comrades are there, my fighting friends, I can’t stay away.”— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Hero’s mother Yulia Viktorovna.
Addressing those gathered, she wished everyone to fill their lives with kindness and love:
The length of life is given to us from above, but the fullness depends on you and me.
Hero’s home school keeps memories of its graduate and proudly tells the children about his feat.
We knew Valera even before he became our student. His parents worked here, Valera visited school very often and always said that he wanted to go to first grade as soon as possible. He was an amazing person because he was not indifferent to everything that happened around him. I want to give just one example: while studying at the university, passing by the gymnasium one day, he saw that children were working on a subbotnik. Without saying anything, he walked in, took a shovel and began working with everyone. He was like that in everything he did.— said the director of gymnasium No. 8 named after N. T. Khrustalev Irina Tikhonenko.
The honorary right to sit at the Hero’s Desk and learn about the feat of junior sergeant Valery Stadnichenko will be the first to be given to the best students of the gymnasium.
