CrimeaPRESS reports:

On the eve of the professional holiday, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police General of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, via videoconference, held a solemn ceremony of presenting state and departmental awards 30 to employees of the internal affairs bodies for courage and heroism shown in rescuing the dead. Among those awarded is the senior inspector of the traffic police of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, senior police lieutenant Boris Kopin.

From the first day of service, every police officer must be ready to respond correctly to an emergency situation, to help a person in trouble. After all, often seconds are crucial. Colleagues have proven that they can act competently and quickly, maintain self-control and confidence , — the press service quotes the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Vladimir Kolokoltsev emphasized that behind each award there is a story with a happy ending: “Your actions are vivid examples of a responsible, indifferent attitude to business, courage and selflessness. And, of course, they carry great moral value.”

During the solemn ceremony, Alexander Mikhailov, Acting Head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, presented senior police lieutenant Boris Kopin with the medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «For Courage in the Name of Salvation».

In the summer 2021 of the year, a police officer rescued a young woman and her two-year-old daughter. In his spare time, Boris Kopin and his family rested on the beach in the city of Sevastopol and noticed that a woman swimming in the sea was overwhelmed by the waves and she went headlong under the water. Without hesitation, the senior lieutenant of police rushed to her. Overcoming strong waves, he quickly swam to the drowning woman. A little girl was swimming nearby in a life jacket. Boris Kopin pulled both of them out of the water to the shore and provided first aid to the woman, who was already unconscious. Fortunately, the child was not harmed.

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev thanked the employees for their service and wished them professional success, happiness and prosperity.
