The highway «Simferopol — Dzhankoy» became part of the federal highway «Novorossiya»

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The 118-kilometer-long Simferopol — Dzhankoy highway became part of the federal highway R-280 Novorossiya (Rostov-on-Don — Mariupol — Melitopol — Simferopol).

Currently, maintenance services are preparing to restore order on the roadway and right-of-way. Specialists will clear the road surface of dust, dirt and debris, mow the grass on the side of the road, repair car pavilions, wash road signs, barrier fencing and signal posts, and also repair damaged elements of the construction.— reported the press service of FKU Uprdor «Taman».

The road starts from the bridge over the Chongar Strait and, bypassing many settlements of the peninsula, leads to Simferopol. The entire section has an asphalt concrete surface and corresponds to the parameters of IB and II technical categories with predominantly two-lane traffic. In the near future, road workers will conduct diagnostics to determine the sections where repair work needs to be carried out.

As specified in Rosavtodor, from now on the Simferopol — Dzhankoy highway is a continuation of the P-280 highway — this is part of the Azov-Black Sea route. It is of great importance for the development of the entire Republic; accordingly, the primary task is to carry out the necessary list of measures to improve the transport and operational condition of the route.
