CrimeaPRESS reports:
The historical and documentary exhibition “Crimea in the History of Russia” has opened at the Crimean War Museum. It is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia and is a joint project of the Federal Archival Agency and the State Committee for Archives of the Republic of Crimea.
The exhibition presents about 400 documents from the archives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea. The exhibition introduces unique documentary sources, photographs, graphic works, and tells about the common history of Crimea and Russia, starting from the period of the Crimean Khanate and ending with the events of March 2014. Evpatoria became the second Crimean city after Simferopol to host this exhibition— reported the press service of the administration of Yevpatoria.
The event was attended by the mayor of the city, Galina Gerasimova. She noted that the presented archival documents allow visitors to plunge into the past, better learn the centuries-old history of their region and country and understand its important role in the history of Russia.
