CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Historical Museum of Sudak (former Funk’s mansion), with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, an exhibition «Money of the USSR» was opened, dedicated to the centenary of the formation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
The basis of the new exposition and exhibition project was the thematic part of the many-thousands bonistic collection of the famous Crimean collector, chairman of the Feodosiya collectors club Vladimir Dyakov , — said the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
Experts note that such a number of numismatic rarities of the Soviet period has never been demonstrated in Sudak before.
The first tour was conducted by the author (owner) of the collection, who spoke about the history of the presented banknotes, emphasizing that the displayed money is not only an indicator of the economic development of the USSR, fixing the stages of its formation and evolution. They also convey the character of a bygone era, reflect the history of monetary circulation, at the same time testifying to the culture, features of the life of the Soviet people, and its rich traditions.
Money is a kind of art that combines the skills of an artist, an engraver, a printer, Vladimir Dyakov noted.
The exposition includes collectible coins and banknotes, securities, savings books, lottery tickets issued for circulation in Soviet Russia and the USSR since 74 on 905 years.
Unsurpassed design and artistic diversity, relevance of the subject, historical and cultural value make Soviet banknotes authentic monuments of Russian history of the 20th century.
The presented collection will help visitors to feel the complex and multifaceted history of the great country, to look through the prism of the centennial anniversary at the complex socio-economic and political processes that took place in the state, to see the most valuable rarities, rare banknotes that have been circulating in Russia for many years.
The exhibition can be visited until 28 February 2023 of the year.
