“The horrors of our town”: a Crimean man strangled his girlfriend and drinking companion in cold blood… With a pillow

The Kirovsky District Court rendered a verdict in a criminal case against a 52-year-old resident of the village of Krinichki. The Crimean citizen was found guilty by the court under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).

It was established that in December 2023 the man was at the place of residence of his friend. During a conflict that arose due to the use of alcohol with a woman he knew, the defendant squeezed the woman’s neck, after which, having found a pillow at the crime scene, he pressed it to her face and held it until her death.— the Crimean prosecutor’s office revealed the circumstances of the murder.

Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the man to 8 years in prison in a maximum security penal colony. The court’s verdict did not enter into legal force.
