In Sevastopol, at the site of the ECOTECH+ school, the III interregional forum “Mentoring: from model to implementation” was held. The event is aimed at sharing the best experiences of mentoring in the education system, increasing the role and prestige of the profession of teacher and mentor. In total, more than 300 teachers from preschool, general education, special vocational educational institutions, preschool education institutions from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Lipetsk, Veliky Novgorod, Cheboksary, Krasnodar and Kherson took part in the forum.
During the grand opening, the participants were greeted by the head of the department of state policy in the field of assessing the quality of education of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol, Galina Kiriyonok.
The interregional forum is a very important event in Sevastopol, which brings together mentor teachers and young teachers. With the holding of the next forum, the number of its participants noticeably increases, and the geography of the represented regions expands. Today, 10 regions of our country are already taking part in the event. At the forum, you will not only share your experience, but also be able to glean many interesting ideas, interesting directions in the development of the mentoring system and implement the acquired experience in your educational organizations, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Galina Kiriyonok.
During the plenary session, guests from the Sverdlovsk region and Lipetsk made presentations, as well as online speakers from Moscow and Yekaterinburg.
The first vice-rector of the Kherson Academy of Continuing Education, Ekaterina Alekseeva, came to learn from the experience of her colleagues and gain new knowledge.
This is our first time participating in this event. This is a very relevant topic for us, since as part of integration into the educational field of the Russian Federation, we are now just forming a mentoring model. We came for new ideas, new technologies, new techniques, and, of course, new contacts. It is now very important for us to learn what is already available in other regions,” shared Ekaterina Alekseeva.
After the plenary session, five methodological platforms began their work: “Mentoring practices in a modern school”, “Models of mentoring in preschool educational institutions”, “Mentoring in additional education organizations”, “The potential of mentoring in the vocational education system”, “Young to young”.
Based on the results of the forum, the participants developed and made proposals for a roadmap for the development of mentoring in Sevastopol for the next three years.
