The art festival, as a synthesis of art forms, will unite academic artistic skills, contemporary urban art, pop music, choreography and other creative genres in the open air.
Considering the experience of past years, we can say with all confidence that the idea of creating an urban space that promotes creative interaction between representatives of various types of artistic creativity and the education of citizens of love and respect for art, the beauty of the city of Yalta is successfully implemented as part of the art — festival «Golden City» , — the organizers note.
This year, the art festival kicks off with the Crimean Urban Landscape painting competition, which runs from 09 August to October 1 2022 of the year.
From October 3 to 8, a rich program of master classes, educational lectures and conversations, creative meetings, and plein air classes begins. At the same time, painting exhibitions will be held.
The culmination of the festival will be an exhibition of works by young artists on the theme «Under the blue sky» and a Gala concert of the festival laureates, which will be held on October 8 on the Yalta embankment.
The Department of Culture invites young artists older than 14 to take part in the art festival «Golden City». Students of children’s art schools, children’s art schools, creative associations, students of educational institutions of secondary vocational education in the arts, professional artists, as well as all interested persons can take part.
Author’s works on the theme “Under the blue sky…” are accepted for placement in the exhibition space. Author’s paintings in the “Landscape” genre, in any painting techniques, are accepted for participation in the competition. The theme of the festival is the Crimean cityscape.
Works must be completed on a format not exceeding A1.
Evaluation criteria: figurativeness, the quality of the transfer of the state by pictorial means; the ability to convey the spatiality of the natural landscape; competent possession of technical techniques of painting; integrity of the compositional solution.
The competition is held in two stages:
- Stage 1 (correspondence) — with 20 August 2022 to October 2022. During this period, applications are accepted in electronic form in Word format, photographs of works for the qualifying round with 20.08.2022 on 01.10.2022 by email yahsh1@mail.ru. Photos of works must meet the following requirements: jpg, 09 dpi, photo size no more than 6Mb. In the file name — a photo of the competitive work, you must specify in strict order: the last name and first name of the author, age, name of the work.
- Stage 2 (in-person ) -09 October 20 – exhibition of originals of competitive works.
Summing up will take place on 09 October 2022 of the year. The competition is judged by a jury. The composition of the jury is determined by the organizers of the competition independently. According to the results of the competition, the winners in each nomination are determined:
- Grand Prix;
- Laureate of the 2nd degree; Laureate of III degree;
Laureate of the 1st degree;
Participants are awarded with valuable prizes, diplomas and thanks.
