The inter-museum exhibition project “Pushkin and Crimea” was presented in Alushta

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea in the Alushta Museum of the writer I.S. Shmelev, a presentation of the inter-museum exhibition project “Pushkin and Crimea” from the stock collection of the Crimean Literary and Art Memorial Museum-Reserve took place.
The exhibition “Pushkin and Crimea” is a striking event in the cultural life of Crimea, allowing guests and residents of the peninsula to take a fresh look at the well-known motifs of the south coast in the works of A.S. Pushkin.
The exhibition introduces guests not only to the life and work of the poet, but also tells the story of Pushkin’s famous journey with the family of General Raevsky across the peninsula. The exhibition features unique publications, manuscripts, and for the first time, copies of sheets of a symphony commissioned in honor of his grandson by the famous Duke de Richelieu in 1766 are shown and voiced using virtual technologies.,” noted the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
On the opening day, employees of the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov donated a copy of a handwritten document to the Ivan Shmelev Museum — a poetic improvisation by Sergei Sergeev-Tsensky in memory of Maria Chekhova, written in 1957.
The exhibition will be on display in Alushta until December 22, 2023. Tickets can be purchased at the box office and at website museum. The Pushkin card works.
