The International Hackathon “About Design” was held in Sevastopol: designers from 44 cities of Russia and the world gathered

At the beginning of December at the site of the IT-cube center. Gagarin» in the IT Crimea technology park hosted the in-person and remote final of the third International Hackathon «About Design». In total, more than three hundred designers from 44 cities of Russia, India, the Czech Republic and Georgia took part in it.
“About Design” included 6 main areas (Web Design, Industrial Design, Design, 3D, Graphic Design, Illustration) and the nomination-exhibition “Your View”.
Participants developed the design of the chill zone and website page, merch options and mascots for the areas of study, design layouts for news and 3D posters.
The award ceremony and the exhibition “Your View” took place in the Tsarskaya Pier business center (https://vk.com/royal_pier).
The artists depicted new interpretations of fairy tales, their own versions of folk crafts and sketches of animals.
The hackathon had 3 age categories: 5-11 years old, 11-18 years old and over 18 years old. The winners were participants from Kazan, Lipetsk, Togliatti, Veliky Novgorod, Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Innopolis, Belgorod, Samara and Sevastopol.
The general sponsor of the hackathon was the cultural space “Third Place” (https://third.place/). This is a unique project at the intersection of historical heritage and modern culture, located in St. Petersburg in a mansion from the mid-19th century. This is a center for contemporary art that combines exhibition halls and an NFT platform, a lecture hall, a cinema hall, as well as a collection of works by Russian artists. Its founders are Olga Zvagolskaya and Dmitry Gachko.
