CrimeaPRESS reports:
An international professional boxing evening took place within the walls of the new sports complex on Shevchenko Street with the support of Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. Professional, titled Sevastopol athletes and their rivals from Iran, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan showed exciting fights.
Boxing is one of the most popular sports in our country and in our city. These competitions became the first international professional fights since the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. Titled athletes, the best representatives of the Sevastopol school of boxing, entered the ring: international masters of sports Elena Gapeshina and Dmitry Shipovsky, masters of sports of Russia Israfil Islamov, Ivan Romanchuk, Maxim Shvedyuk and candidate master of sports David Agabekyan. Their rivals were no less titled boxers from friendly foreign countries. Once again we showed everyone that the Hero City is open to international relations – now in sports as well– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Sevastopol residents won six victories in six fights at the first international professional boxing tournament in our city in ten years:
