The Interregional Festival of Young Inventors is taking place in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For two days, September 28 and 29, an interregional festival of young inventors is being held at the Ecotech+ school, which united children from Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea.
The event is aimed at creating conditions for creative development, support and accompaniment of gifted children, and popularizing technical creativity among students. The festival was organized by the Small Academy of Sciences with the support of the Department of Education and Science.
The main goal of the festival is to attract children and youth to research work, technical creativity, and robotics. We also want to present the achievements of MAN students and show the public that every child can become the author of brilliant ideas. Our children are very talented and they prove this repeatedly at various national and international competitions. Over the past year, MAN students have won all the landmark competitions and conferences in the State Duma, “Step into the Future” at the Bauman Institute, and “Great Challenges” at Sirius. There were also victories at the international level: in China, Malaysia, Thailand, Cyprus — there our children received gold and silver medals at invention salons. All these achievements are the joint work of guys interested in science and mentors– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the Small Academy of Sciences of Sevastopol Sergei Pasein.
The festival includes interregional tournaments and competitions: the XX robotics tournament “SevRoboFest”, computer game championship “Big Family Game”, modeling competition, underwater robotics competition “HakatonoMANiYA”, fidget football tournament, robot exhibition “Fair of Ideas” .
The Festival of Young Inventors is a unique platform that allowed children to show their abilities in modeling, design, and programming. For the first time, students of all levels of education, children from 5 to 17 years old, are united on one site. More than 350 children took part in festival competitions, and more than 1000 children with teachers and parents as part of organized groups from institutions come on excursions. We sincerely hope that among the festival participants there are future architects, engineers, scientists, whose names we will hear more than once. They are the ones who will make our city better, more beautiful, more modern, – notes Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science Elena Andrus.
Anyone can take part in master classes on robotics, design, and control of robots. On the second day of the festival there will be a family tournament. 32 teams will compete in quadcopter control, augmented reality tank battles, racing, playing Tetris, competitions in VR glasses, robo-hockey and football on consoles.
The winners and prize-winners of the competitions will receive awards, and the festival participants will receive memorable souvenirs.
