The investigator is checking information about a collapsing cultural heritage site in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, ordered to organize a verification of the information presented on the TV channel “Crimea 24” about the destruction of a historical building in Simferopol — the mansion of the nobleman Konstantin Rakov.
The building, built at the beginning of the 20th century, is recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance. Currently, the premises are a residential building, the apartments in it are privatized. This is the story.
It is reported that due to the special status of the property, residents cannot begin repairs on their own, while the plaster on the façade of the mansion is crumbling and there are cracks in the foundation.
Vladimir Terentyev instructed the investigators to thoroughly study the information voiced in the media, request all the necessary information from the department responsible for maintaining the facility, and give a proper legal assessment of the current situation.
