The preferential mortgage program for IT specialists was actually suspended, said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin in an interview with Izvestia newspaper. The issuance of an IT mortgage has seriously slowed due to insufficient support of banks, says Deputy Prime Minister.

The authorities do not plan to launch new preferential mortgage programs, but the current programs can expand, Khusnullin said. One of the proposed support measures is to increase the amount of subsidized family mortgage loan. In many regions of the current limit, 6 million rubles are not enough to buy housing.

According to the deputy prime minister, the budget expenses for supporting existing projects are already exceeding 1 trillion rubles. These are the means that are required to keep the obligations taken.
