The Krasnodar was detained in Sevastopol. The criminal «tour» abducted almost 4 million rubles from pensioners

For the purpose of illegal earnings, the criminal “tour” visited Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea several times.
It was preliminarily established that distance scammers called pensioners in instant messengers, introduced themselves to law enforcement officers and reported the need to check the existing cash for their authenticity and non -participation in the financing of terrorism. As soon as the victim was ready to transfer their money, the scammers sent her to other addresses, where gullible pensioners transferred from 114 thousand to 1.5 million rubles. After a large sum was in the hands of the involuntary courier, a real accomplice of fraudsters arrived at him, who took the money and transferred it to his curators, -voiced the details of the case in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.
As a result of operational-search measures, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol together with colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nakhimovsky district established the identity of the suspect and detained him when he came to pick up 950 thousand rubles from the next victim. The attacker was a 40-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory, who was developing a private car.
During the personal search, the police found and seized 1.3 million rubles from the detainee, which he managed to steal in the same way from pensioners from Simferopol.
At present, the attacker’s involvement in 8 episodes of criminal activity has been established, but the police reasonably believe that the number of victims is at least 12 people.
Currently, criminal cases have been instituted against the detainee in parts 2, 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant is detained.
