The “landscape” fire in the Belogorsk region of Crimea took three hours to extinguish
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea reminds of the danger of “landscape” fires. Extinguishing them is complicated not only by the terrain (fires often occur in mountainous and forested areas), but also by weather conditions, for example, strong winds.
The day before (at 12:43), the fire department’s operational console received the following signal about a fire in the area of the village of Pavlovka (Belogorsky district). In the open area, dry grass and bushes caught fire. Strong, gusty winds contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly applied barrel “B”, also using firecrackers and Ermak backpacks, localized and extinguished the fire within 3 hours— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Let us note that in order to stop the spread of the fire, it was necessary to use two tractors from the Vasilyevsky rural settlement for plowing. There were no injuries at this “landscape”; experts are establishing the cause of the incident.
