The list of vital drugs and the list of drugs for the treatment of high-cost nosologies have been expanded

The list of vital and essential drugs (VED) has been supplemented with new names and dosage forms for the treatment of patients with various oncological, chronic, autoimmune, cardiovascular and infectious diseases. The order on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
The updated list has added 18 drugs that are used in the treatment of lymphoma, melanoma, leukemia, breast cancer, diabetes mellitus, systemic lupus erythematosus, anemia in chronic kidney disease, tachycardia, lipid metabolism disorders, pneumonia, peritonitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, severe forms of bronchial asthma, as well as for the prevention of thrombotic complications and during antiretroviral therapy.
These drugs include zanubrutinib, polatuzumab vedotin, nurulimab + prolgolimab, inotuzumab ozogamicin, alpelisib, anifrolumab, alogliptin + pioglitazone, esmolol, roxadustat, inclisiran, biapenem, atazanavir + ritonavir, fampridine, glycopyrronium bromide + indacaterol + mometasone, beclomethasone + glycopyrronium bromide + formoterol, budesonide + glycopyrronium bromide + formoterol, tezepelumab.
For four medications previously included in the list, additional dosage forms have been added. This applies to insulin lispro, daratumumab, diclofenac and piribedil.
The same order expanded the list of drugs for the treatment of patients with complex and rare diseases within the framework of the program of 14 high-cost nosologies. It includes the anticancer drug isatuximab, used in the treatment of multiple myeloma.
Commenting on the decision made at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on January 20, Mikhail Mishustin emphasized that half of these drugs are already manufactured in our country.
This work will continue within the framework of the national project “New Health Saving Technologies” in order to increase the share of domestic production of vital and essential drugs to 90% by 2030.noted the head of the Cabinet.
Prices for medications from the Vital and Essential Drugs list are regulated by the state. Such drugs are used in the treatment of patients within the framework of the state guarantee program for the provision of free medical care to citizens. In total, the list of vital and essential drugs includes more than 800 medications.
Drugs for the treatment of high-cost nosologies are centrally purchased by the Ministry of Health and issued to patients free of charge. The costs of their purchase are financed from the federal budget.
The signed document amends Government Order No. 2406-r dated October 12, 2019.
