The loan portfolio of Crimean businesses grew by more than a third over the year

The loan portfolio of organizations and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Crimea grew by 32% over the year and reached almost 200 billion rubles as of October 1, 2024. The main contribution to the portfolio growth was made by SME lending, which accounts for 53% of the corporate portfolio. Liabilities in this segment increased to 105.2 billion rubles. This is 1.5 times more than a year ago. In turn, the portfolio of large businesses grew by 14.8%, to 94.7 billion rubles.
In the industry structure, the majority of corporate loans were provided to trade and manufacturing enterprises, as well as companies in the real estate and construction sectors, transport and communications, – Igor Tsvetkov, head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea, commented on the situation. – Loans were attracted both to finance current activities and to implement investment projects.
Over the 9 months of this year, Crimean business received about 176 billion rubles in bank loans. This is almost 23% more than in the same period last year. The positive dynamics of corporate lending is largely due to preferential programs and the growth of economic activity of business in general.
