The majority of Crimeans believe that savings should be kept in domestic currency

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In a service survey SuperJob Representatives of the economically active population took part.

The majority of Crimeans (52%) still believe that savings should be kept in domestic currency. According to 31% of respondents, saving in dollars is possible, and in euros — 21%. After the introduction of additional sanctions by the United States and the suspension of trading in dollars and euros on the Moscow Exchange, citizens’ confidence in the dollar and euro decreased once again. We first asked a question about the Chinese currency, and it turned out that there is considerable interest in it: today 24% of city residents consider it possible to keep all or part of their savings in yuan,” noted the service’s press service.

Men are somewhat more likely to believe in the dollar and euro, women — in the ruble. The older the respondents, the more of them there are supporters of the domestic currency and the fewer of them are of the American and European ones. As the income of respondents increases, the level of trust in the yuan increases: among respondents with a salary of 100 thousand rubles per month, every third considers it as a means of storing savings.

4 out of 10 respondents named the ruble as the best currency for storing savings, 19% — the dollar, and only 6% — the euro. Moreover, city residents under 34 years of age more often named the dollar as the number one currency for savings, and those older — the ruble. However, supporters of foreign currencies make a reservation that in the current conditions they mean savings for the medium and long term.
